From the foreword to the first edition of Alcoholics Anonymous:

Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of people who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. 

Alcoholics Anonymous District 8 and the South Sound Service Center provides services to groups carrying the message to “the still suffering alcoholic”
